Valentine's Day Strawberry Sugar Scrub
We already checked off a new DIY Bath Product from our Winter Bucket List when we made a Salty Brown Sugar + Vanilla Body Scrub, but this winter weather is still doing a number on our skin. When Kane used up our last batch of body scrub this weekend, all H broke lose. Fortunately, they're incredibly easy to whip up and we decided to go with a fun Valentine's Day batch this time.
I don't usually like fruity bath products, but the vanilla and coconut balance this one out. Plus, the kids had such a fun sensory experience making it, this one definitely tops our list. If you still need a present for the sweet ones in your life, this is it!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries (eat the rest of the package!)
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 3/4 cup organic coconut oil, at room temperature
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Directions: Place dried strawberries in a sealed bag and crush into a powder with a rolling pin. Add all ingredients into a large bowl and let the kiddos mix together by hand. Squish and squish until well mixed. Store scrub in an airtight container.

Did it stain the skin? I know when my daughter eats those (at least the TJ version) her fingers end up red...
Hi Jessica! We have the same problem when we eat them, but haven't had any problem with the sugar scrub (including me!). I think it must be the coconut oil which keeps it sort of separate from your skin, but it hasn't stained us (or the tub). :)
3 Researches SHOW Why Coconut Oil Kills Waist Fat.
The meaning of this is that you literally burn fat by eating Coconut Fats (also coconut milk, coconut cream and coconut oil).
These 3 researches from large medicinal magazines are sure to turn the traditional nutrition world upside down!
