Happy (somewhat belated) New Year everyone! We got back late last night from a super winter getaway to the best beach in the world. BUT, first we got to spend Christmas Eve day with our best cousins who were back in town from Chicago - we MISS them! We spent Christmas morning at our house and then loaded up the car with our new presents and set out for New Jersey. Our holidays were a bit like the rest of 2012, not exactly as we had planned, but overall, we managed as always to get down and celebrate. We bombed around the quiet island on our new scooters, played frigid beach ball with Veg while he helped us dig for seashells, took some great day trips, got to eat lots of sugar (marshmallow cereal, YAY Nona's house!), took a Sandy-impacted toy replacement shopping trip, read lots of Harry Potter, and even let mom and dad sleep in almost every day. And mom got a night away in NYC with our fav Aunt Kerri, who also came for a visit to celebrate NYE with mom and dad, which we hear was a typical Green night of debauchery. All in all, a fabulous way to say goodbye to 2012, a year which we are all excited to see go.
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday break - mom also spent lots of time researching new local jaunts and pinning art projects, so we can't wait for this year to really get started!
