Keep It Local: Potomac Nationals' Game

We love a good ballgame around our house and try to get to several Nats games a season. But lately we've been frequenting some of the minor league teams nearby -- the games are really family friendly because they are on a smaller scale, they are less expensive, the players sign autographs and the teams run lots of fun promotions. A few weeks ago, we headed out to Woodbridge, Virginia to catch a  Potomac Nationals' game (the P-Nats are an affiliate of the Washington Nationals) and had the absolute best time. Now, we did pick a game where there were a ton of really fabulous promos going on -- it was bring your dog day (your furry friend can sit right in the stand with you!), facepainting day, and kids eat free day (every Sunday). BUT it seems like almost every home game has something awesome. Our most favorite things about the game were that seats almost on field were reasonably priced, players from both teams signed lots of autographs before the game, and we got to run the bases at the end. So. much. fun.

And you are in luck -- the P-Nats are playing at home this weekend with fireworks after the game on Saturday and kids eat free Sunday. If the rain stays away, go watch 'em play! You can buy tix online here, but we had no problem getting good seats at the box office when we arrived.
